How the license works
The Pluggies plugins use a simple licensing system: one license for each plugin. The key you receive at the time of purchase unlocks the plugin settings and entitles you to automatic updates.
Each license is valid on a specific number of sites, depending on the plan you have chosen:
- 1 site — you can activate the plugin on only one site at a time;
- 5 sites — up to five sites simultaneously;
- Unlimited — no limit on the number of sites.
On the Licenses page, the status always shows how many sites you are using compared to the maximum allowed, for example Active (2/5 sites). For unlimited licenses, the limit appears as ∞.
Some Pluggies plugins are free: in that case, no key is needed. The plugin remains active and still receives automatic updates.
The license is activated per individual site: the same key can be used on multiple sites, up to the limit set by your plan.
Activating the license on a site
After installing and activating the plugin in WordPress, follow these steps to activate the license:
- In the WordPress dashboard sidebar, open the Pluggies menu and click on Licenses.
- Locate the tab for the plugin you want to activate. Each installed Pluggies plugin has its own tab with its status.
- In the key field, paste your license key. It has the format
PLG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. - Click the Activate on this site button.
- Check the Status below the field: if everything went well, you will see the label Active and text like
Active (1/5 sites).
From this moment, the plugin settings are unlocked and the site will receive automatic updates. Pluggies automatically checks the license status once a day, without you having to do anything.
If the key is incorrect, or if the license has expired or been suspended, the status will notify you with a clear message (for example Invalid key. or Invalid license (expired or suspended).). In that case, check that you have pasted the correct key, without spaces before or after.
Deactivating / moving the license
Have you reached the maximum number of sites, or do you want to use the license on another site? You must first free up a site by deactivating the license there.
- On the site you want to free up, open Pluggies → Licenses.
- In the plugin tab, click the Deactivate button.
- The status will change to Not active and you will see the message
Deactivated on this site.
That spot is now free again: you can activate the same key on another site by repeating the activation procedure described above.
Deactivating the license does not uninstall the plugin and does not delete the settings: it only blocks automatic updates and access to the settings on that site until you reactivate a valid key.
Where to buy
Licenses can be purchased directly from the Pluggies shop. On the Pluggies → Licenses page, you will find the Buy a license → button that opens the plugin catalog.
Alternatively, you can visit the catalog from your browser: https://pluggies.cloud/plugin/. Choose the plugin, complete the purchase, and you will receive the key in the format PLG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX to paste on the Licenses page.
Frequently asked questions
On how many sites can I use the same license?
It depends on the purchased plan: 1 site, 5 sites, or unlimited. In the license tab, the status always shows the updated count, for example Active (3/5 sites). When you reach the limit, free up a site with Deactivate before activating a new one.
I lost access or the license is no longer active: what happens to updates?
If the license is not active on a site, that site stops receiving automatic updates and the plugin settings remain locked. However, the plugin continues to function: the features already active are not turned off, so you do not risk being locked out of your site. To start receiving updates again, re-enter and reactivate a valid key on the Licenses page.
My license has expired. What should I do?
An expired or suspended license is indicated in the status with Invalid license (expired or suspended). The plugin continues to function, but does not receive new updates. Renew the license from the Pluggies shop (click the Buy a license → button), then return to the Licenses page and click Activate on this site again.
I am using a free Pluggies plugin: do I need a license?
No. Free plugins do not require any key. On the Licenses page, they appear with the label Free and the message No license required. They are always active and update automatically like all the others.
The status remains “Not active” even after entering the key. Why?
Check that you have pasted the key in full and without spaces, and that it corresponds to the correct plugin (each plugin has its own key). Also verify that you have not exceeded the number of sites in your plan: if so, free up a site first with Deactivate. If the message indicates an invalid, expired, or suspended key, check the license status in the Pluggies shop.
